Who you are agreeing with
Single Origin Studio is a sole proprietorship registered in India. It owns and operates this website, publishes apps under its own name, and publishes games under the Single Origin Games brand. Single Origin Games is a brand, not a separate legal entity — agreements are with the studio.
Using this website
You may read it, link to it, quote it with attribution, and use the press assets on the press kit page to write about the studio. You may not present the studio's work as your own, imply endorsement or partnership that does not exist, or use the name and mark in a way that could confuse someone about who made something.
The site is provided as it is. It is a small studio's website; it may be offline occasionally, and pages describing unreleased work may change or be removed as plans change.
Apps and games
Software published by the studio is licensed to you, not sold. You get a personal, non-exclusive right to use it on devices you control. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies, or strip out its attribution.
Purchases and refunds are handled by the store you bought from — Google Play, the App Store, or Steam — under that store's policy, not this one. We cannot process a refund for a transaction we never received. If a store declines and you think that is wrong, write to us and we will help where we can.
In-app purchases, where they exist, are optional: either a one-time purchase or a plainly priced subscription you can cancel anytime. Rewarded ads, where they exist, are opt-in: you choose to watch one in exchange for something in the product. The studio does not use subscriptions that renew without a clear, up-front statement of their terms.
Unreleased and unannounced work
Titles listed as in development or in design are exactly that. Naming something here is not a promise to ship it, on a date or at all. Features shown before release may change.
Your content
Anything you create inside an app — saves, lists, configurations — is yours. The studio claims no ownership of it. Where an app stores that data on your device, deleting the app deletes it.
If you send feedback, a bug report or a suggestion, you allow the studio to act on it without owing you compensation or credit. That is the only practical way a one-person studio can take suggestions at all.
Liability
The software is provided without warranty, to the fullest extent the law allows. The studio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Where you have statutory consumer rights under the law of your country, those rights are not affected by anything in this document.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction — again, without removing consumer protections you hold where you live.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the site or the software after that means you accept the revised version.
